Well at long last i have a bit of time to update you all on the happenings in the lives of the kzn Haldanes...
It seems like so much has happened in the last 8 weeks.time is just flying!
Our precious little boy is now 8 weeks old and is growing so beautifully.He is such a pleasure to have around. Im getting used to having someone by my side or on my udders 24/7 now.
Hes my new little companion! At first,this took a little bit of getting used to as i was so used to my independance and doing things in my own time and my own way BUT NOW... ha ha,gone are those days!
this is definatly an adjustment that takes time to accept. Now...i couldnt be happier.I miss him when ive left him with someone when jerry and i go on a date, i miss him when i take him to church and everyone wants to hold him and the thought of going back to work just makes my heart ache knowing that there are going to be long stretches of time where i dont see my little boy. They grow so quickly. I think i must have heard this from every person i come accross but it certainly is so true. My little boy has changed so much from the time we first met him which felt like days ago.
My darling little boy is eating so well and sleeping well too. Well,maybe not as well as Claires babies BUT lets not even go there!:) very jealous that they sleep thru from the first week!
Last night was the first time hes slept a 9 1/2 hr stretch ever! whooooohoooo!!! life is good! so, we getting there slowly he slept from 6pm to 3.30am! so proud of him.
He gives us the most beautiful smiles these days and looks at you in the eyes when he does it....ahhhhh man,my heart just melts! The feeling that your baby knows who you are is just so special. I now understand why parents are so protective over their children and love them so much. The bond is just increadible.
Jerry, my other darling boy, is such a gem! he is so involved in Carters life, he gets so excited with me at the smallest things about him. He changes nappies,he baths him, he cuddles him and gives him so much love when i need a bit of time out. This little guy is so lucky to have such a wonderful dad. Jerry has officially fallen in love!!!
Infact Carter is so lucky to have so many special people in his life that love him,even those far away.
Just recently we had the wonderful opportunity to meet up with Nicky,Kenton,klara and Blake whilst they were in Durban.We had such a lovely time catching up them meeting little Carter for the first time. Also, Dave and Steve came to Durbs for some business a while back and got to meet him too.
We are so looking forward to Granny Rose and Grampa Peter comming to visit soon too. Its so special having so much family all over the world.
